11 Sep. Senmai Hut - Arakawa-dake - Ogouchi-dake Hut
Started walking before the sun rise. I headed back to Naka-dake where I came through on the previous day and moved forward. The hike above the tree line is always exciting.
There were some rocky and dangerous parts between Naka-dake and Arakawamae-dake. After that part I hiked down into the forest by the time I got here the wind had picked up and it was getting darker and darker. And Just before I got to Ogouchi-dake, it suddenly started raining with strong thunders. It even hailed.
I was on the ridge. There was nothing to protect myself from the lightnings. I ran and ran. I jumped into Ogouchi-dake Hut.
In the hut, there was a guy with long beard whose name was Tecchan. He was from a village nearby and farmer.
Shortly after I got to the hut, the rain stopped and the clouds moved away.
I went outside with Tecchan and saw one of the best sunset spectacular in my life.
The colours of the sky, big thick clouds moving fast and the beautiful shape of mountains.
Just stunning.

12 Sep. Ogouchi-dake Hut - Shiomi-dake - Kumanodaira Hut
In the morning, the hut was completely covered with clouds and we had no view at all. But the clouds were moving very fast and suddenly it cleared as if there was a window on the clouds. I caught a glimpse of Mt. Fuji.

Hiked through the forest until getting to Shiomi-dake. I love the fresh and cold air in the mornig. It became lighter and lighter, it's gonna be another good day.
Shiomi-dake is located at kind of the middle of the Southern Alps.
When I got to the peak, the clouds had already gone and I got a 360° panorama. I could see all the mountains I had hiked through and all the mountains to go. What a good feeling.
Left Shiomi-dake to Kumanodaira Hut via Senshio Ridge, which is one of the main ridge in the Southern Alps.
