26 Sep. Nomugi-toge Campground - Nagawa Onsen - Ichinose Campground
As always, I got a beautiful clear day after the typhoon. I felt really good, the rest 30 km seemed so close. I walked along Nagawa river. An old man was fishing in the river. A column of smoke rose up from a house beside the river, someone would prepare breakfast. Daily life in the country side.
I want to live with the nature like them.

I arrived at Shirakaba-toge Pass before noon. There was only 15 km to go from here and there were many people to see eagles. Every year before winter comes, eagles fly over this pass to the South. I was very excited to see eagles because I had never seen wild ones before.
There was an open field near the pass and tens of people were looking for eagles. They had cameras or binoculars in their hands. It felt really good to lie down and look at the sky in such a beautiful autumn day. I saw a few eagles this day. What a precious coincidence to be here that time of the year. Great experience.

Enjoyed eagles watching and restarted walking. I got to a campground in Norikura-kogen(Norikura highlands) about 2hours later and amazed by the colours of the autumn leaves. It was the peak of the autumn colours.
There was no one except me in the campground. I dominated the beautiful place with clear stream beside.
27 Sep. Ichinose Campground - Norikura-dake - Ichinose Campground
I took a return trip to Norikura-dake this day, started walking before the sun came out. Hiked up through a dim forest along streams.

After a few hours of forest hiking, it suddenly got light. It seemed like I came above the clouds. Everything became vivid suddenly. At the same time, I noticed that I came above the treeline. I could see the beautifully coloured forest and some peaks of the Northern Alps.

Hiked up to Norikura-dake(3025m) and went back to the campground(1500m). I was really tired after the 1500m of ascent and descent. But my heart was satisfied with the livly landscape.
